This palace complex used to be the home of the Qajar royalty. This UNESCO-listed site has royal buildings, gardens, gifts from Europe and a whole lot more. Golestan has seen dynasties rise and fall throughout its existence over the centuries. It has seen coronations and all sorts of elaborate ceremonies held by the royal family. Some of the places of interest inside are the Marble Throne, Karim Khani Nook, Brilliant Hall, Windcatchers and the Edifice of the Sun.
