This castle also goes by the name “Crow Castle” because of its beautiful black exterior. The castle dates all the way back to the late 1590s. The original structure didn’t survive the destruction caused by World War II, but it was eventually reconstructed in the 1960s.

Access: The castle is around 30 minutes’ walk from Okayama Station. You can also board a tram on the Higashiyama Line to Shiroshita.
Fees: JPY300 castle only and JPY560 castle and Korakuen Garden
