Located in Wakayama Prefecture, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had the castle built in the 1580s. The castle was destroyed in World War II like many of Japan’s castles. The present structure is already a reconstruction.

Access: The castle is within walking distance from JR Wakayama Station (around 20 minutes). Alternatively, you can alight at Nankai Wakayami-shi Station and walk for 10 minutes to the castle.
Fees: JPY410 entrance
