These ancient ruins 60km outside of Shiraz is a must visit for those who are planning to visit the country. This centuries’ old destination is a clear example of Achaemenid design. The complex is in various states of repair and disrepair, eliciting a sense of nostalgia and wonder for those that are exploring it. The towering pillars and their intricate carvings display the craftsmanship and creativity of its creators. Don’t forget to go up the hill to get a bird’s eye view of the surroundings.
