Two words: Street Food

Block off April 20 to 24 in your social calendars, foodies! The World Street Food (WSF) Congress will be held in Bonifacio Global City this April, and you wouldn’t want to miss a gastronomical adventure like no other.
This will be the first time that a country other than Singapore is hosting the WSF Congress, which puts the Philippines in such a great place for making Filipino cuisine more known around the world.
The WSF Congress was first created by Makansutra’s KF Seetoh to preserve, professionalize and imagine new possibilities for street food culture. Here’s your chance to join the global conversation about the more gritty, comforting and straightforward side of the culinary industry—awesome street food.
Look forward to three delicious segments at the event. First, the WSF Dialogue will be a wonderful exchange of ideas about everything relevant to street food culture. As speakers for the conference, there will be tons of prominent culinary personalities from all over the globe. There will also be a hackathon where participants can do a three-minute pitch about their inspired street food concept.
This will be held on April 20 to 21 at Spaceman, 7th Avenue and 25th Street at BGC.
Second, the WSF Jamboree is every street food enthusiast’s dream come true. For five awesome days, from April 20 to 24, the best street food from 8 different cities will only be a queue away from your belly. There’s no entrance fee for this spectacular collection of food stalls, but prepare to shell out around PHP 200 per dish.
With the best of the best from various countries, though, that’s definitely going to be worth every Peso. Find the WSF Jamboree at Federacion Drive and 9th Avenue, BGC.
Finally, it’s time to recognize the standouts at the WSF Awards. Just some categories are the Best 20 Street Food Masters, the Best Street Food City and the Best Street Food Concept. Don’t miss out on the reveal of the world’s culinary beasts.
