A trip to Saigon is incomplete without doing at least a half-day tour of the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. The network of underground tunnels played an important role during the Vietnam War. The Viet Cong used these to move supplies and troops that thwarted American offensives and defensives. The sections are really narrow and only fit the Vietnamese.

Fast forward to today, the some sections of the tunnels underwent renovations to cater to Western tourists as well. You can do this attraction as a half-day tour from the city. Read more about Cu Chi here.
