The very same institution that brings to us the coveted Academy Awards annually is finally opening its very own Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California this year!

Taking up 300,000 square feet in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of LA, the highly-anticipated museum is dedicated to the art and science of the most groundbreaking movies of the past, present, and future. The building itself designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano will comprise two main structures: the Saban Building and the Sphere Building, both of which will feature 50,000 square feet of exhibition galleries, two theaters, cutting-edge project spaces, an outdoor piazza, a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills, an interactive education studio, a restaurant, and a museum shop.
