Watch the spectacular sunrise at Lipton Seat, named after Scottish tea baron Thomas Lipton. From there, you can head straight to the Dambatenne Tea Factory and see the tea fields.

Check out the numerous infinity pools when you visit Diyaluma Falls, Sri Lanka’s second highest waterfall. It’s just the perfect place to cool down after a long walk. Meanwhile, tucked somewhere in the deep valleys and tall pine trees is the tallest waterfall of Sri Lanka, Bambarakanda Falls, where you can also swim if weather allows.

Try hiking from the Idalgashinna Railway Station to the Ohiya station. It might be an unusual way to go through a railroad, but the stunning view and amazing experience is well worth it. Just be careful of oncoming trains.

Haputale boasts a maximum average of 26 degrees Celsius all year-round, a perfect invitation to those who want to cool down.
