Did the Boracay Closure Really Help the Island?

Do we need another 6-month closure?

Over the weekend, Boracay welcomed tourists once again after being closed for half a year for its much needed rehabilitation. The first set of tourists that set foot on the newly improved island was the locals, which were given priority as residents of Boracay. The dry run for the soft opening will last for 10 days, ending on October 26.
