Ditch the popular bars in the metro and take a drive to Southern Luzon, where the Philippines’ tagay culture originated – Quezon! Home of the country’s prized coconut vodka lambanog, there’s no better place in the country to experience the country’s most popular drinking tradition firsthand with dad! You can even take a tour of the main distilleries in Tayabas, if you want to know more about the process of producing lambanog.

When in Quezon, you might also want to have a swig of sapinit wine. A lesser-known liquor from the province, it is made with wild raspberries and has distinctly sweet and tart notes.
