Put this on your travel bucket list.

Yolyn Am, or also known as Ice Valley, is one of the places you’ll visit on your way to the Gobi Desert. It is part of the Gobi Desert, which means that it gets hardly any precipitation year-round; despite this, the gorge and its surroundings get thick with ice during and just after winter. The field of ice stretches for kilometers as far as the eyes could see. However, this isn’t the case during other times of the year. Even if you don’t see much ice, the trek through the gorge is still a worthwhile activity because of the craggy and raw, yet beautiful mountains and rock formations surrounding it.
