Like many breweries, Munting Ilog Craft Brewery grew from the love of beer. Founded by award-winning home brewers and staffed by an award-winning brewer, Munting Ilog aims to bring to the Philippines the taste of American coast beers, English style beers, and Belgian style beers that they love to make and drink.

Their Tikbalang Extra Pale Ale is an award-winning brew that gets its name from the half-man, half-horse creature or horse-demon from Philippine folklore that’s believed to lurk in the mountains and forests of the country. We’re guessing this beer has a pretty strong kick.

Where to try Munting Ilog beers: Beers are available at The Bottle Shop (with branches in Magallanes Center and BGC), BeerhousePH in Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig and Spektral Beer Lounge in Makati.
