Also facing the Pacific Ocean, the mostly bare and long shoreline of Gubat in Sorsogon is a recipient of huge swells that would make any surfer scream in delight. The main surf spot here called “Breeding” usually sees an influx of surfers starting from the month of October. Gubat’s surfing community has seen several of its own make a name for themselves in various surfing competitions in the country and even in Bali, Indonesia. Although it will take you more than 10 hours by land to travel here from Manila, the chance of experiencing a fun road trip with friends coupled by a stoked feeling of surfing, will be a hard thing to pass up.
