The Great British Festival is back bringing Britain closer to the Philippines and celebrating UK culture and innovation. Its two-week run which started on February 23 and will end on March 10 is spread across the country in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Iloilo, and Dumaguete. Now on its fourth year, Sinag Maynila is a film festival that aims to spotlight artistic Filipino films that would appeal to international film festivals. These carefully selected films will be screened at select SM Malls nationwide from March 7 to 15. Categories for the film festival include full length films, documentaries, and short films (which are open to students). It’ll be one heck of a Filipino film festival!
This weekend, March 10, the biggest gathering of the best local sticker artists and collectors will be happening at JY Campos Hall B, Bayanihan Center Pasig. Go nuts and hoard as many stickers as you want for your planners, phones, gadgets, and anywhere else you want to put them on!
Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami will be having his own festival, hosted by Japan Foundation and the first of its kind, here in the country. Experience Murakami through a month-long event featuring his literature, movie adaptations of his books, talks detailing his beautiful writing process, and a jazz concert featuring Murakami’s novels.
