Once you step inside China’s newest Tianjin Binhai Library located within the eponymous city, there’s no time to feel anything else but sheer awe and wonder.
The five-story, 34,200-square-meter glass structure designed by Dutch-based firm MVRDV gives off a minimalist yet futuristic vibe. It welcomes you first via an oval opening which reveals The Eye — a white, luminous orb which serves as the library’s centerpiece and houses a small auditorium.
