This UNESCO-listed scenic area is a possible addition to your itinerary, if ever you plan to visit Jiuzhaigou. Huanglong in Sichuan is a natural wonder surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and has beautiful travertine pools (think of Pamukkale in Turkey), spectacular waterfalls and verdant forests.
